My name is Zachary Garcia and currently a 15 year old freshmen at West Orange High School. Fellow classmates and I have been assigned what seems to be a pretty cool project. Basically what our teacher has us doing is, watching these awesome and informative TEDx videos which are videos of professionals that talk about inventions or what they do that stands out. We pick the top 10 videos that interest us. After we pick the ones we like, our teacher (Mr. Shreffler) assigns 5 out of the 10 of the TEDx Talks we could use. Then we watch, write about, and analyze the videos that have been assigned to us. We then submit a digital copy to this blog which is then viewed by Mr. Shreffler who then gives advise on what to change and how to fix it. We are graded on how clear it is, how long and how many paragraphs they are, and how well the assignment flows. After we are done with all 5 assignments we have to chose one that we want to do a formal presentation on. In this presentation should be 1-2 minutes in length and mainly determines our grade is preparation and talking points. Our last and final assignment is we have to come up with a TED talk of our own.
